Q.
What is the minimum hire period?

A.
All items are hired on the basis of a minimum one week hire. You may return the item earlier,
but the weekly charge is the minimum payment.
 

Q.

What if I want to hire something for several weeks?

A.

The office team will be happy to supply you with a period hire price for extended hire. This will
normally be lower than a straightforward multiple of the weekly hire charge. You should call us

to discuss this once you have made your selections and submitted them off this site.

Q.
Do I have to register on your site to make a selection of items and send an enquiry?
A.
No. There's no need to register if you don't want to. The registration and login facility is for
customers who might want to make their selections over a number of days and save those
selections, or lists, for later modification and submission for quote.

Is it possible to see the items before I hire them?

A.

You are very welcome to visit Living Props to view our wide range of stock.
Firstly, have a
look at the catalogue on this site and view the many items that we stock. If there's something
you can’t find… call us! We may have it and not yet taken a photo.

Q.

What happens if an item is damaged whilst under hire?
A.
Damaged items will normally incur a loss and damage charge. This is based on the cost of repair
or replacement of the item and loss of hire.

Q.

Can I open a billing account with Living Props?
A.
Companies can open a billing account by completing an account application form (this can be faxed
or emailed to you). Individuals who wish to hire items on their own behalf will be asked to pay by
cash or cheque upon receipt of the item.
 

Q.
I don't have a billing account with you, how do I pay?
A.
Payments can be made by cash or cheque in advance or on receipt of the item.
Q.

Do prices of hire items include VAT?
A.
All prices quoted will be subject to VAT being added.

Do you deliver and collect?
A.
We can deliver in the London area. For deliveries outside this area please contact the office
team to see if a delivery can be arranged.

Q.
What are your delivery/collection charges?
A.
Standard delivery is £78 each way within the London area. However, it is best to contact the
office to check on prices as some items merit a higher delivery charge. Also, out-of-hours
and weekend deliveries are subject to higher rates.
 
Q.
I need someone to deliver and stay to help dress the location, is this a service you provide?
A.
Our drivers are all experienced set dressers. If you wish to hire labour please contact the
office to check availability and to find out what the charge will be. 
    
Q.
Would I be allowed to paint a hire item?
A.
It is normally acceptable to paint a hire item, but only by PRIOR negotiation with a member
of the office team. We may impose a small additional charge to cover the cost of returning
the item to its original colour.

Q.
Would I be allowed to cut off leaves or prune a plant or make any alterations to an item I
have hired?

A.
This is not normally allowed. Please contact the office to discuss your requirements.
Q.
When are you open?
A.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. You are welcome to visit any time and you
don't need to make an appointment. However, if there is something you specifically want
to see, it is advisable to ring in advance to ensure the item is on site. Please go to Contact
